German-style steel number stamps use the DIN 1451 font in chrome-vanadium steel (CRV/6150), face-hardened to 58–62 HRC.
A set is 9 pieces, 0–8 with the 6 inverted as a 9, so it stamps all of 0–9. Available in standard, GN economy and reversed styles — the GN grade uses a simplified process (no end-tempering, no edge chamfer) at a more affordable price.
The German DIN 1451 face is narrower than the English style. Character heights run from 1.5mm to 19.0mm; the standard YC615 line offers 13 sizes with shanks from 6.35mm to 19.05mm. The reversed YC618 stamps a mirror image, for work that will later be transferred or used as a mold.
